USF to Begin Serving Starbucks

It’s official! Sodexo Food Services has announced that the popular Seattle-based coffeehouse chain, Starbucks, will be making its way to the University of St. Francis. Students, faculty and staff will be able to get their Starbucks fix at the St. Clare Campus starting in the 2016 fall semester.

It will not be a licensed Starbucks store, but a new restaurant on campus (similar to Three Oaks Bistro) that will proudly serve Starbucks coffee along with other select Starbucks drinks. According to James Phillip, University of St. Francis Sodexo Food Services General Manager, “The Sodexo menu [at the new restaurant] will include breakfast sandwiches, pastries, hot and cold sandwiches, Grab N' Go items and soup [as well as Starbucks coffee].” Hours of operation for this currently unnamed restaurant are not set in stone but as of now they are expected to be open between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Students will be able to use their dining plans here as well.

For those students who may not have any classes at the St. Clare Campus, don’t worry, you can still get your Starbucks fix! The shuttle will be running a regular route to this part of campus next fall; however, the shuttle schedule is not yet announced for the upcoming school year.
