The Downtown Joliet Farmers Market kicks off today with all new vendors and entertainment. Come down to Chicago St. and VanBuren St. from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. to enjoy a night of live music, cold drinks and a lot of shopping! New to the market this year is a different live act each week. This week features local musician John Condron performing around 6 p.m. Each week also has a different featured local brewery, with this week’s featured brewery being Half Acre Beer Company from Chicago.

Downtown Joliet businesses will be out on the street during the market as well. Favorites like Chicago St. Pub, The Blue Taco, Gji’s Sweet Shoppe, Cheesecakes By James and Sue Regis Glass Art will have their own booths set up. In addition to the Downtown businesses, there will be many other vendors lined up along Chicago St. There will be produce, honey, bakery items, apple cider donuts, handmade body care items, handmade cleaning supplies and handmade crafts. There will even be a table with a different vendor each week. There will be plenty of options for everyone!

The new and improved market has something for the whole family. There’s even something for the kids to do at the market. The kids will have their very own booth to blow bubbles, draw with chalk, color and so much more! This week even features a face painter!

This event is sure to be a hit in Joliet this summer! If you would like more information about the Downtown Joliet Farmers Market visit www.jolietdowntown.com.
