Harrison Ford to unveil details of Disney’s new Star Wars themed lands

January 30, 2016

Harrison Ford will return to the Star Wars universe one more time to appear in Disney's special "Inside the Magic" on February 22. Ford will be unveiling the details of the new additions of the Star Wars themed "lands" that will be in the parks in Anaheim, California and Orlando, Florida.

Han Solo will undoubtedly highlight the plans for his Millennium Falcon that will be featured in the new addition. After all, it is the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, it certainly deserves a spotlight.

From Entertainment Weekly's article about the announcement:

The unnamed Star Wars world will be inhabited by humanoids, aliens and droids, and “is one of the last ports before wild space,” according to Disney chairman and CEO Robert Iger.

“Every store and restaurant will be operated by local inhabitants, making each experience deeply immersive. Nothing in the land will be out of character or stray from mythology. By the way, we’re currently casting for roles, so if you live on the Outer Rim there may be a job for you,” he joked.

The "Inside the Magic" special will also include appearances from special guests, Elton John, Josh Gad, and “Dancing with the Stars” Derek Hough and co-star Whitney Carson.

Elton John will be debuting his new song, "Wonderful Crazy Night," in addition to performing his Oscar-nominated "Circle of Life" from "The Lion King." Hough and Carson will perform a tribute using music from Disney’s most popular properties.
