All Eight “Harry Potter” Films Return to Theaters

Witches and wizards, grab your brooms and fly on over to your nearest IMAX Theater. All eight “Harry Potter” films are coming back to the big screen – but only for one week! Starting Thursday, October 13, the digitally remastered films will be shown in IMAX 2D throughout the world.

This limited-time magic is in celebration of the upcoming prequel to the “Harry Potter” films, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.” The prequel premieres November 18.

According to Warner Bros., the studio that owns the rights to the “Harry Potter” franchise, the last six films have collectively earned approximately $216 million in IMAX theaters worldwide. The closest theater to University of St. Francis that will be showing the films is AMC Showplace New Lenox 14, located at 1320 W. Maple Street. The schedule for the eight films at the New Lenox location is as follows:
