Life Hacks by Mat: Pants Hanger Tricks

Welcome back to Mat’s Life Hacks! This week I found two more cool life hacks to try out. Hopefully you’ve been shopping for bottoms lately because this week’s tips and tricks involve pants hangers.

Turn your Pants Hanger into a Chip Bag Clip:

First up, I found a new and innovative chip bag clip. This is perfect for holding your half-eaten bag of snacks closed. First, all you need to do is break off one or both clips at the ends of the pants hanger. After that, it’s as simple as using the clip to hold a chip bag closed.

Check out the photos I took to use as a guide.

You shouldn’t need to use scissors or anything to cut the clips off. I was able to do it by just snapping the clips off the hanger. It only took a second and was totally painless.

Cookbook Hanger Hack: You can also use pants hangers as a cookbook holder.

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Grab a cookbook, find a cabinet handle to hang it off and place the cookbook in the hanger clips. I can’t speak for every pants hanger out there, but mine wouldn’t open more than two-and-a-half millimeters. If your cookbook is any thicker than this, it may not be able to hold the weight of the book up.

If you are using a relatively small cookbook or just a single-sheet recipe, this life hack will work perfectly for you.

Paper Holder Hack:

The last life hack I have for today is very similar to the previous one. Basically, if you have to reference a sheet of paper while you type something, you can use a pants hanger to hold the paper next to your computer screen.

Simply clip the hanger to the top of your laptop and clip the sheet of paper to the other side of the hanger.

Be warned, your dog might give you a strange look when attempting this one.

That’s it for Mat’s Life Hacks this week. Come back next week to see what kind of interesting DIYs I can dig up!
