New Restaurant/Brewery Alert: MyGrain Brewing Company

A local brewery is looking to change the brewing game in Joliet, after opening 3 weeks ago the MyGrain Brewing Company is looking to revolutionized the way we look at breweries. The MyGrain Brewing Company recently opened at Joliet Union Station and offers great food and quality brews. The brew kettles are the first thing you notice when you walk up to the brewery as they are displayed beautifully.

The menu is diverse and offers something for all kinds of palettes, and what sets the food apart from other breweries is the quality of ingredients and care put into the cooking. From the first bite of your meal, you can tell that the chef is very competent and skilled. I tried both the steak and mashed potatoes was well as the salmon with mini potatoes and I must say it was the most well-made steak that I have had in years. It was perfectly cooked, medium rare, and the mashed potatoes were creamy. The salmon was also grilled very well and tasted fresh and moist.

The beer selection was good and was extremely tasty, I tried both the house stout and the India pale ale and both were extremely tasty. The best part is just knowing that it is brewed just feet from where you are eating and drinking.

The atmosphere in the brewery perfectly sets the mood for a quality night, it is trendy and modern but also relaxed enough to suit the casual diner as well as the luxurious. As we ate dinner, the vibe was extremely positive and the staff were very well mannered and personable. The location is centralized and convenient to get to as it is right outside of the train station in Downtown Joliet.
