SAB Brings Students to Live Broadway Musical “Beauty and the Beast”

On November 14, Student Activities Board (SAB) took students to see the live Broadway musical “Beauty and the Beast.” The event took place at the Paramount Theatre in Aurora, Ill. and the club provided students with free tickets and transportation. The bus departed the university at 5:30 p.m. and students did not return until 10:30 p.m.

Event attendee and University of St. Francis (USF) senior Amber James said, “I honestly have never been to a more enjoyable event at USF. Everything was perfect; the cast was amazing, the music was amazing and even the Paramount Theatre itself was amazing. I had never been to a real play or musical before tonight so this was such a great experience for me. I give a lot of credit to SAB for thinking of such a great event and for giving students opportunities like this. I would definitely go to something like this again!”

Amber James was not the only one to take advantage of this opportunity. Two days prior to the event, all of the tickets were claimed, according to the SAB Instagram page. The club itself holds many events throughout the year, including but not limited to: “Paint and Sip,” bowling, yoga, movie nights and so much more. To stay up-to-date on other events SAB will be hosting, follow them on Instagram (@usf_sab) or like their page (USF Student Activities Board) on Facebook!

“Beauty and the Beast” is directed by Amber Mak and will be performed until January 19, 2020. For more information regarding the musical and other events happening at Paramount Theatre, please visit www.paramountaurora.com
